Who We Are

Fretwell-Downing Hospitality Limited (FDH)

FDH is a privately-owned business based in Sheffield, UK.

We were established in 1981 as a result of the parent company’s hotel and catering business recognising the need for software that was specifically designed for the hospitality industry.

Today we remain dedicated to developing and marketing software that is tailored specifically to the hospitality, foodservice and facilities management industries, both in the UK and overseas.

Our catering heritage together with the fact that we employ people from catering and hospitality backgrounds ensures we have a real understanding and in-depth knowledge of how the catering industry operates and how software can provide the right support to improve business efficiency.

We are constantly evolving our software to meet the changing needs of businesses and to harness emerging technological developments.

Our Customers

Our software is being used literally across thousands of sites, mostly in the UK but also internationally. Our customer line-up ranges from big multi-site operations including the Ministry of Defence; The Royal Household; Compass Group; local authorities; universities and department stores, through to single-site independent schools, restaurants and cafés.

Our Mission

We are dedicated to providing the highest quality software solutions to the hospitality sector, and supporting our customers with the highest level of service and technical deployment.

Quality and Best Practice

Quality underpins our success and to this end we have operated ISO9001 for over 10 years.

We are a Microsoft certified partner and we are committed to our environmental responsibility with ISO14001 accreditation.

We have also held the Royal Warrant for over 10 years as a supplier to the Royal Household.
