Saffron Zest is an Internet based catering management system designed for small, medium and large-scale contract catering companies. Operational sites enter their weekly returns directly to head office over an Internet connection and Saffron Zest then produces management reports for site and head office staff. It then interfaces directly to the company’s financial systems.

Saffron Zest produces timely and effective reports for operational staff, and empowers management to run their business more effectively and profitably.
 
  • Invoices, Accruals and Returns - enter summarised supplier invoices by account code, including VAT and non-VAT analysis with validation to ensure accuracy against centrally managed procurement rules.
  • Cashsheet and Sales Data - capture detailed sales income and cash payments, credit card transactions and other aspects of cash balancing on site 
  • Hospitality and Free Issues - record client free issues and other internal or external ‘non-contract’ recharges, allowing creation of a client invoice within Saffron Zest or for export to central systems. 
  • Meal Numbers and Statistics - record meal number statistics and any other site based data required as part of the performance reporting and management statistics.  
  • System Integration (finance, payroll etc) - system integration with corporate systems, reducing duplication of data entry at centre, enabling effective central reporting and faster operational management results.
  • Stocktakes and Summary Management Reports – periodic valuation of current stock holdings, together with a wide range of site results and key indicators.
  • Site, Area and Central Reports - individual Site Managers can report upon their site’s performance immediately, Area Managers can have remote access to all their sites, and corporate users can review the entire business performance, based on site characteristics and business properties .

Saffron Zest will allow a remote site access, typically to its own data only, within the central system and allow input and output of information as required. Saffron Zest is designed to capture data input in respect of common datasets such as goods received details, cashbook analysis, free issues, stock values etc and display information like recipes.

Saffron Zest ensures any site equipped with a PC can connect to and make use of Saffron Zest. This option does require an Internet and broadband connection, which will remain in use whilst the connection remains open.
