FDH IMPROVES PROFITS OF NATIONAL TRUST RESTAURANTS

Fretwell-Downing Hospitality (FDH), leading provider of information management software for the foodservice industry, has won a contract to install its proVISION for Windows system across all National Trust sites. This follows a successful pilot scheme where proVISION software improved gross margins in the pilot restaurants by at least 2.5%.
proVISION is a comprehensive food and beverage management system that tracks the catering business process - from stock control, ordering and menu planning through to EPOS and finance - and offers accuracy, efficiency and ultimately improves the caterers bottom line.
The extensive pilot scheme began with sites in Kent and Sussex and was then rolled out to further sites in each of the National Trusts 10 regions, with many of the Trusts largest restaurants chosen for the test phase. The restaurants included both self-service and waitress-service outlets, some of which have an annual turnover in excess of £100,000. proVISION will be interfaced with electronic point of sale equipment used within National Trust sites throughout the UK.
