Murder Scandal Hits LACA Conference!

July 2007

An ex-military officer was led away in chains from last month’s LACA conference following some keen detective work from one of the delegates.

Linda Savage of Norfolk County Services was one of the delegates who managed to piece together the clues left around the various exhibition halls as part of Fretwell-Downing Hospitality’s Murder Mystery Competition. After several hours of sleuthing, Linda was picked from among the correct entries and won a murder mystery weekend for two at a venue of her choice.

Andrew Markwell, sales director at Fretwell-Downing Hospitality commented “My congratulations to Linda on some truly first class detective work. We’ve all had a great time and the two actors playing Colonel Mustard and Miss Scarlet did brilliantly in stirring up some conference intrigue. Catering is a serious business but I don’t think we should be too grown up to have some fun now and again.”

The Murder Mystery competition also highlighted the company’s new handheld quality and auditing devices, Saffron Inspect and Asset, which also featured in the LACA Innovation Centre Exhibition. The devices allow businesses to capture auditing data on the move without the need for burdensome paper collection or manual data input back at the office.
