FDH IMPROVE PROFITS OF DEVON DIRECT SERVICES

 Leading Management Information Solution to Bring Benefits to Devons Local Authority Caterers
 

Fretwell-Downing Hospitality (FDH), leading supplier of IT solutions to caterers, has been selected by Devon Direct Services (DDS) to implement its SaffronT management information solution. The software will enable DDS to maximise control over the running of its catering function, improving both efficiency and profit.

Installed at DDSs Exeter-based head office, the SaffronT system will manage the business on approximately 420 catering sites, including primary schools and dining centres through to banqueting and hospitality in the local judges residence.

The SaffronT solution will control all aspects of DDSs catering facility, from purchasing, stock summaries, meal numbers and cash takings, plus SaffronT will be used to cost and plan menus and recipes. The system will bring a range of benefits to DDS, from improved management information to increased profit margins - every part of the day-to-day catering function will be managed by SaffronT and DDS users will be able to provide accurate reports on all areas of its catering business.

SaffronT replaces a number of previous systems, and will bring in an integrated solution that will operate on the DDS network, linking with Devon County Councils existing financial software system.

Implementation of the SaffronT solution is due to commence in summer 2002, with the system due to go live in January 2003. FDH will be providing DDS with full training, maintenance and support.
